We are gearing up for a weekend full of Halloween festivities! While I'm not a huge family costume maniac or haunted house visitor, I do enjoy the family fun of the holiday. Over the years, we've developed a few fun traditions that help us make the most of the days leading up to the 31st!
Community Fun
We love to participate in at least one of the local community family-friendly activities. Whether it's the pumpkin patch, apple picking or backyard smores, we usually make some good wholesome memories!
Pumpkins
Pumpkin carving started long before kids actually! We were pretty intricate with our designs in the early days of our marriage, but our current goals are for the kids to be as involved as possible. We usually roast the pumpkin seeds for an added snack!
Halloween Night
We are fortunate to have close family and friends nearby, and they know that we're an open house that evening for a warm bowl of chili and a cold beer! We live in a great neighborhood for trick-or-treating, both for the kids and the adults.
Wishing you all a very festive weekend. This is one of those moments where Gretchen Rubin's "Live the Bigger Life" serves as my guide, and I seize the family fun!
