What I'm Loving: Streaming Faves (Heavy on the British)

Schitt's Creek - If you've not yet met the Rose family, you're in for a treat! This hilarious show features comedic geniuses Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara, and it is just the distraction you need. Trust me.

Bridgerton - Unless you've been living under a rock, you probably know about all the craze related to this British Regency time period show based on Julie Quinn's books. It's steamy, swoon-worthy and well done! I love the casting, costumes and music! You must watch it.

Great British Baking Show - While I love the first few seasons with Mary Berry the most, this is a fun show to watch regardless of cast. The bakers must compete in three challenges per episode, with one winner selected at the end of the season. There is comic relief, beautiful illustrations and astonishingly creative baking.

Salt Fat Acid Heat - This Netflix original is another unique cooking show, featuring chef Samin Nosrat traveling the world to better experience these four named elements found in global cuisine. It's educational and often beautiful.

Escape to the Chateau - My mother-in-law turned me onto this gem. A British couple has purchased a run down chateau in France, and each episode features them fixing up elements of the building to create a unique home and event business.

Outlander - A captivating, historical, time travel series based on Diana Gabaldon's novels. The series takes place in post-World War II United States and 18th Century Scotland. The series features drama and conflict surrounding war, love and loss. It's an authentic adaptation of Gabaldon's novels. Seasons 1-5 are based on her first five books. Season 6 recently began filming.

Sanditon - If you loved Bridgerton, consider this PBS Masterpiece show that's based on Jane Austen's unfinished, final book at the time of her death with the same title. The series has a bit of a slow start, but if you give it time, you'll be hooked. The plot and casting are great! The ending will have you craving for more. Rumor is there will be a Season 2. Fingers crossed!
