For today's Tuesday, erm...Thursday Morning Tidy (tis the season!), I'll be wrapping up the final push in the final room of the house.

As I mentioned last week, the guest room is also an office and a craft space. Now that it's clean and clear, I'm assessing it for maximum functionality and maintenance. To be fully transparent, I'm actually not touching any part of the space that my husband uses as his office--just my little craft area for this one!

I have a tall cabinet with yarn for crochet and fabric for embroidery. The yarn is organized by color and actually is pretty in the space. However, I need to use it. I'm trying to churn out a new scarf with my existing stash every few months to donate to Warm Up America. This way, I can make room for some new projects and materials.

The embroidery fabric needs to be folded and stored by color. It comes in handy to have a wide variety of small fabric scraps for embroidery applique, so I don't want to get rid of anything. However, it's hard for it to be useful if it's in disarray.

Now, onto the closet.

The closet has needlepoint and embroidery materials. I have a variety of blank bags that I embroider as gifts along with all the accessories to my machine. This handy Jonaxel Ikea storage system keeps things organized in drawers at the bottom, leaving hanging space at the top! I sorted through all of my items and tidied them up a bit. I have a few favorite thread colors that I need to restock.

The needlepoint needs more organization! I finished a few projects for the holidays, so my gear is spread throughout the house where I was working on it. I need to return things to their spot in the closet and see if there are any supplies I need to restock.

And that's it. I'll finish some tidying up in my craft space so I can inventory supplies. Running out in the middle of a project is no fun!
