It’s hard to believe that we’re near the midpoint of 2025. My word for this year is release. After a busy and stressful fall, I was determined to start the year with a new state of mind — less anxious and preoccupied and more present.

I am happy to report that I’ve been successful at releasing tension and stress better I was in 2024. I’ve accomplished this by focusing my energy on activities that keep me busy physically so that I don’t ruminate thoughts and worries. I’ve been taking long walks and working out as well as reorganizing and deep cleaning several closets and areas in our home. I’ve also spent time decompressing by watching the television series White Lotus, 1923 and The Pitt. I had forgotten what a nice reprieve television can be from everyday life, especially when I get excited for the next episode!

I am pleased with my progress, but I have definitely struggled this first half of the year. My persistency has been the key to moving forward even on the days it has been hard.

So here’s to feeling less distracted and worried and more peace and humor through 2025 and beyond!
