Samantha's Favorites from 2020:
I read more books then I thought I did this last year! I didn't keep track of the exact number, but my best count is 38, which includes about 10 audiobooks. I read an array of genres, but most of my choices were fiction. In 2021, I look forward to reading the most recent books by two authors on my 2020 list -- Abby Jimenez and Sarah Smarsh.
Below are some of my favorites -- a few of them I reviewed on And She Writes:
The Friend Zone (Review) & The Happy Ever After Playlist by Abby Jimenez
The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren
One Day in December by Josie Silver (Review)
Evvie Drake Starts Over by Linda Holmes (Review)
I am Malala by Malala Yousafzai (Young Learner Edition -- I read with my daughter)
White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo (Referenced in post here)
The Road Back to You by Ian Morgan Cron and Susanne Stabile (Referenced in a post here)
Heartland by Sarah Smarsh
Fay's Favorites from 2020:
I read 36 books this year, including 17 audiobooks. I purchased under five of these, taking full advantage of my local library's digital lending copies. I literally purchased dozens of books for my children, so I'm sure I more than made up for it with my financial support of children's authors this year!
One of our blog readers received The Little Book of Hygge in our fall giveaway, and we were able to review several of our favorites as we completed them throughout the year.
I am anxiously awaiting the next Maggie Hope release this spring and I've got several of the authors below on my 2021 reading list (stay tuned for that soon).
Maggie Hope series to date by Susan Elia MacNeal (Review)
The Little Book of Hygge by Meik Wiking (twice) (Review)
Throne of Glass Series by Sarah Maas
Evvie Drake Starts Over by Linda Holmes (Review)
Children of Bone and Blood by Tomi Adeyemi (Review)
Sex and Vanity by Kevin Kwan
One Day in December by Josie Silver (Review)
