Tuesday Morning Tidy: Apple Dump Cake

Enjoy this easy, delicious The Pioneer Woman's Apple Dump Cake recipe that's perfect for a fall day!


Ingredients:


  • 3/4 cup of salted butter, cut into slices (also used for the baking dish)

  • 2 (21-oz.) cans apple pie filling

  • 1 tsp. apple pie spice

  • 1 (15.25-oz.) box yellow cake mix

  • Carmel sauce (optional)

  • Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream serving (optional)  


Directions:


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and butter a 9-by-13-inch baking dish.

  2. Dump the apple pie filling into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with the apple pie spice.

  3. Pour the cake mix over the top of the fruit. Distribute the butter slices over the cake mix.

  4. Bake for about 50 minutes to 1 hour—until the top is brown and bubbly

  5. Option to serve with drizzled caramel sauce and topped with ice cream
