Tuesday Morning Tidy: Prepping for A New Season
As the final weeks of summer are upon us, I'm taking inventory of what I need to do, purchase and plan for in preparation for the fall semester, sports and activity schedules. I'm always making lists and asking myself questions to find inspiration. Here are some examples:
Do I have my calendar, planner and/or app up to date with school district days off, holiday breaks, back-to-school nights, practice times, game days, etc?
Do I need to schedule any doctor appts this fall? Dentist, eye doctor, orthodontist, etc? Once our family's semester calendar is up to date (see previous bullet point), it's best to get these one-off appointments on my calendar.
Do the kids have jeans, jackets and coats that fit? Cooler temps will be here before we know it.
Each fall and spring/summer, I like to freshen up a space in my house. This can be new decor items, candles, area rugs, etc. This summer I'm updating and upgrading a few window treatments. What's my focus this fall? I'm thinking about purchasing new throw pillow for our formal living space.
Are we doing a fall family photo session? Once our calendar is updated, I contact our photographer to get this year's session on the books.
I hope these questions and thoughts have inspired you to think about the new season. What are you doing to prepare for the fall?
