Tuesday Morning Tidy: Summer Drinks & Cocktails

There's nothing quite like a refreshing drink on a warm summer day or evening. We're sharing a few favorites and a cocktail recipe you'll want to try soon!

Non-Alcoholic

AHA Sparking Water -- These canned waters offers the right amount of carbonation and just enough flavor to make it better than most brands on the market. Every flavor is delicious, so you can't go wrong!

If you're lucky to have one of these franchises in your area, I hope you're enjoying their endless iced tea options. You can choose from several sweet or unsweetened tea flavors -- mint, almond, raspberry, coconut, to name a few! Happy Hour is from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. everyday - drinks are half price!

Starbucks Iced Chocolate Almond Milk Shaken Espresso - I am a creature of habit when I order at Starbucks, but I'm hooked on this newer drink. It's a little sweet, delicious and only 110 calories (grande size).

Alcoholic

Moscow Mule - It's our most common homemade drink in the summertime. It's refreshing and so fun in a cute copper mug! Try making your own -- cocktail or mocktail -- by simply combining the following: ice cubes, two shots of vodka (omit this for a mocktail), 1/2 lime and ginger beer (usually it's non-alcoholic). So good!

Enjoying a Moscow Mule under the pergola!

Margaritas - I prefer my margaritas frozen. Martha Stewart's recipe is a tasty one you can find here. If I want one with less calories, I'll go with a "skinny" margarita. Well Plated has a really good recipe you can find here.

Red Wine Sangria - I'll make this crowd pleaser in the summer when we host friends. You can find several recipes online, but we keep it pretty simple with red wine, chopped fruit, brandy and a few other ingredients. You can find a good recipe on Delish.

What are some of your favorite summer libations?
