Tuesday Morning Tidy: High/Low Home Decor for Spring

Spring, more than any other season, makes me want to refresh and update decor. I don't like to break the bank but I love pouring through home decor catalogs and magazines like Ballard Designs and HGTV Magazine. In fact, the high/low section is one of my favorites in HGTV, and I loved the show they used to produce.

Pillows

Pillows are a great way to refresh, and by swapping out just the covers, storage is easy too! This designer pillow cover from West Elm has bright pinks and classic blue. It's not a bad price at $49.

However, if you need several or have young kids and aren't ready to purchase more expensive textiles, you may be able to find something more budget friendly. This handmade option from Etsy shop "Handloom Cafe" is about half the price and comes in a variety of sizes.

Table Linens

I've been loving all of the block print designs, and table linens are a small way to add these busy patterns. These sets of four from Mark & Graham are beautiful, with different fabric featured on the trim. They're a little over $10 per napkin, so they are a bit of an investment.

These Target napkins also feature that block print style and are in my shopping cart. The price is right at $12 for 6!

Linen Curtains

Linen never goes out of style, and the pinch pleat top adds a little formality to the more casual fabric. These classic Belgian linen curtains from Pottery Barn are beautiful.

This highly rated cotton-linen pinch pleat panel will give a similar look at over $100 less per pair. I have a set of curtains I need to replace, and this is the look I'll probably go for once I decide on color.

Scallops

Scallops are everywhere this spring, and Ballard Designs is known for their amazing, high-quality lighting. This blue scallop lampshade is stunning and would be a great update for an existing lamp. This one is on sale right now, so it's both a high and a low! Grab it now, in four different sizes.
