While phone apps can be a source of distraction and interruption, they can also be tools for organization and discovery. Here are a few apps I’ve been using lately with positive results.

Slice: This app is how we order from one of our favorite local pizzerias, but the real hack is for traveling. When you’re in a new city, check your Slice app for a local pizza place. We’ve had great luck!

Splitwise: This app is a must for group travel! Everyone on a trip enters expenses that need to be split with others, and the app does the math. At the end of the trip, everyone gets a calculation of all reimbursements.

Poshmark: I use the saved search function to find specific items. You can buy and sell on the app, and it’s very straightforward.

Libby: This is probably my favorite! I save $$$ every year with my local library and my Libby app. I keep my book list, and then check out or request items I’d like to read. I get audiobooks too! I always have it with me when I’m waiting somewhere, and it connects to my Kindle for optimal reading.

That’s my tech update! Happy dining, traveling, shopping and reading!
